"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden." Matthew 5:14
January 2018: The first floor slab has been poured and the building is beginning to take shape as structural steel goes into place.
Water Water Everywhere!
The steep slope and groundwater in the hill between Ellison and the Parish Center has caused hundreds of thousands of dollars of damage to the Parish Center and the Church over the past ten years. To protect our buildings, we must excavate the hill to install better drainage and fix piping. This is a costly fix but it is also an opportunity to replace the hillside with a much needed Gathering Space and accessible restrooms to serve our Parish for generations to come.
What will we build for our Parish community?
The building will include over 2,000 square feet of gathering space and accessible restrooms directly attached to the Church. It provides space for our families to gather together before and after mass as well as a private salon for wedding parties, peaceful respite for funeral planning, a space for funeral visitations, and a place for the community to just come together.
